Welcome to Worms Gone Green where God's smallest creatures create natural organic fertilizer for your garden and lawn from your kitchen trash.
Here's what they like to eat:
* egg shells
* banana peels and watermelon rind
* coffee grounds
* left over vegetables: celery, carrots, peas, beans,
lettuce, rice, pasta, paper, cardboard and cereals
Here's what they don't like to eat:
* dairy products
* any type of meat
* oils and fat
Red Wigglers are the only worms we have for sale.
They are the best gardners ever for vermicomposting or composting with worms.
Red Wiggles proper name is Eisenia foetida.
Red Wigglers eat your kitchen trash and turn it into organic composted fertilizer for your yard and garden.
Do you know?
* 1 pound of worms eats 1/2 pound of food a day.
* 1 pound of worms becomes 2 pounds of worms in 90 days.
* Worms have five (5) hearts.
* Worms are blind, but are sensitive to light and need to be in the dark.
* Worm composting reduces your carbon footprint because more food scraps get recycled.
* Worms are very small, only 1 to 3 inches in length and as big around as a rubber band.
* Worms not only make great organic composted fertilizer, they airiate the soil.
* Never take worms for granted they are environmentally friendly.
If your home garden doesn't look like this - your are not vermicomposting!
